Read This Only If You Need Help And Are Ready To Get Serious

There are hundreds of people actively looking for help at this forum in any given month. The people who are here and would like to help everyone can't possibly keep track of everyone's status: does he have a good doctor, what has she had tested, what is he taking, has she started Armour yet, etc. etc. etc. Experience suggests that the helpful people at this forum are not going to be able to help a person get to consistent improvement, especially if the person is having a difficult time managing his/her own case, unless that person at least puts out the following minimum effort.

Help Us Help You

It does not matter how long you have been coming to this website, how many threads you have read, or how many questions you have asked. If you have not done the things talked about in this message, then you might not be getting all of the help you could be getting, which could explain why you are reading this message right now. There are a great bunch of caring and experienced people, here. But, in order for us to help you with exactly what you need, there are some things you can do to help us. If you do the following, then we will try to do for you what most doctors will not do, which is go over your case in detail and make suggestions as to what you could do to improve things and regain your health as much as is possible.

Create a Journal

In order to tell us about yourself, go to the Member Logs forum, and start a new topic with the title of your online name. In this entry, post information about yourself, including your diagnoses, your symptoms, the medicines and supplements you are currently taking, and all of the lab work you have had done. Here is a good example of the kind of information that is helpful. This "Journal" is helpful, because you can keep it updated, and you can refer back to it to see your progress.

Create a Signature

The signature is the information about you that will appear at the bottom of every post that you make. It helps other members quickly see your current status when you post a message, so they don't have to ask a bunch of repeat questions before being able to respond to you.

To create a signature, just click on User Control Panel at the top of the screen, select the Profile tab, and click on Edit Signature at the left of the screen. Type in a brief listing of your diagnoses, symptoms, prescriptions, and supplements to your signature. You can also place a link to your journal in your profile signature. Here is an example. You can see other examples by reading through the posts that members have made.

In addition, provide your location (city and state/country) in your profile. You will not be giving us your last name, so you should not be concerned with stalkers. This will help us be able to provide you with recommendations for doctors. Just click on User Control Panel at the top of the screen, select the Profile tab, and type your location information in the space provided, then click on the Submit button.

Start Thinking In Terms of a Plan

You do not want to "shotgun" this. You want to approach this expeditiously but carefully. You should plan out what your next three to five steps will be in working toward regaining your health. Post this plan in your member log, check off things as you go, and keep adding to it. You can learn more about things that you could be doing in the Easily Accessible Information topic.
