Deb, I'm an avid lurker of the forum and an occassional poster; but have to comment that it is obvious you have touched many with your help and you are greatly appreciated. I know this forum not only touched my life, but saved it as I was on a fast downword spiral when I found it. After taking much of the advise and seeing the hope that we can improve our own quality of life, I am now a year later a much stonger person. Not perfect, but on my way. Thank you, best wishes, and glad you'll still be hanging around.

Bree, you may have big shoes to fill, but thank you for stepping up and helping to keep us going. I have a feeling those ruby slippers will fit you just fine.

And you know we love you right, Deborah?

I was just thinking. I've been reading you virtually daily (missing a few here and there but that's it) for almost 4 years now. You're like a family member now. Going without my Daily Deborah would be like someone I care about moving to the other side of the world.

No wonder you're worn out though from doing this for so very long. I did "cat health" groups for almost as many years, both as a contributor to many, moderator of some, and as an owner of one, and I had to back off from it myself. No one really knows the amount of work that goes into it, unless you've done it. You have brought so many blessings into the lives of people who suffered.

You start that blog and I'll be a very happy camper :D You will have one very huge readership, girl!

Deborah,

You and STTM have been a total blessing for me. Without your help, I'd still be sick four years after my adrenals crashed. You need to take time for yourself and Eric. I know that things have been rough for you the last couple of years. Take your time, rest, relax, have fun and....I have your phone # if it's still good. In fact, I might call you tonight on the way home. There is always email also. I have my little netbook that I take with me if I can get a wireless signal.

I WAS going to post that I have not fallen off the face of the earth but things have been hectic with both aunts having hip surgery last month and rehab ever since then, summer school, getting registered at IUPUI for my bachelors degree and all that.

Please don't fall off the face of the earth - even temporarily like I did. I'm currently house sitting, and finishing my summer school class.

Love ya both - Gail, Kahlee, Peter the pest, Scooter and Miew (who is doing better on two adult strength acidopholis tablets a day!!! not bad for a 10 lb cat)
Full-time college student - Computer Security/Forensics - Adrenal/Pit crash 2/2006 - Thyroid - 5 gr Armour, 3 mg Medrol, 30 mg HC - For pics of my fur kids, & other things go to: http://s223.photobucket.com/home/ghcritters

I'm with everyone else, Deborah--thank you so much for creating and nurturing this place, for your wealth of knowledge, and for caring about everyone, even newbies like myself. Best of luck and enjoy the additional time you gain from stepping back.

Wow, I've been gone for awhile as a result of trying to get my financial life back together, and was shocked to see this thread. I'm glad you're still going to be around, Deborah, because this forum has really helped a great deal to get my health and my life back again. It was through this forum that I finally found a decent doctor to work with, and through your many patient answers that I was able to work my way up to a dosage that has finally made me feel like myself again. Thanks to you and all the wonderful people in this forum for your patience and help and kindness, and most of all for giving hope.

Hi-ya DeborahSu - I've been away from the site for a couple years (life got complicated)Image, and I decided to stop in and do some reading.Image First thing I did was look to see if any "familiar faces" were still around. I found 3, and then saw that you had retired from active duty...had to read that part twice!Image You've given many years to various boards, and untold hours of your life helping guide others through this thyroid issues maze...including myself. You certainly deserve "retirement", and especially free time for a personal life. ...which we didn't allow you to have much of, huh?!! I too will miss the "daily Debroah's". Tons of thanks to you, keep safe, and I wish you and yours all the best!! Image and Image
